Dear Readers and Advertisers

With the World Cup in full swing in Qatar, we are all supporting our boys (Lions) and hoping they can emulate the girls (Lionesses) victory earlier in the year and hopefully end 2022 on a high, after they came so close in the Euro’s 2020, so fingers crossed let’s hope they can go one better. But of course don't forget Wales, also one of our home nations, it’s such a shame that England and Wales have been drawn in the same group stage.

The Coronation of King Charles has been announced for Saturday 6th May 2023, securing us with an extra bank holiday, making that 3 in the month of May 2023. But who’s complaining?

It’s December and yes it’s back by popular demand, the Word Search competition that everyone is talking about. You can win for Christmas Day A FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS HAMPER TO FEED A FAMILY OF 6, which includes TURKEY and TRIMMINGS courtesy of IAIN at ISTEAD RISE BUTCHERS, FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES courtesy of STEVE’S, HERBERT ROAD and CHRISTMAS PUDDING, BISCUITS, CHOCOLATES, FIZZ, PLUS MUCH MORE courtesy of THE VILLAGE ADVERTISER. Entry deadline is 14th December 2022. The hamper will be delivered to the winner on Friday 23rd December.
After another amazing response to the November Word Search competition, congratulations goes to JANE DODDS of BOROUGH GREEN, who won a £50 GIFT CARD to spend at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe, courtesy of THE VILLAGE ADVERTISER. Just in time for Christmas. The missing word being ‘SHARING'.
