Dear Advertisers & Readers
With Christmas now over and festive hangovers being nursed, thoughts when minds have cleared turn to the future and what the New Year will bring. Resolutions will have been made and broken but reality will click in as the credit card bills flop onto the door mat. The pandemic has changed an awful lot of what everyone regarded as normal. Hopefully the new variants of the dreaded virus will be countered by tweaks in the vaccines that our brilliant scientists came up with so quickly. There has to be a limit on the restrictions to everyday life that government imposes on us. Looking at sil-ver linings in troubled times is difficult but lifestyle changes such as shopping more locally and working from home, which has been found to suit many, has appeared to improve work life balance for sections of our society. A brighter, better new year is what everyone wishes for and hopefully it will arrive in 2022.

January, after the New Years Eve celebrations, is normally a quiet month on the social side of life. However, the life and times of the great bard of Ayrshire – Robbie Burns gives an opportunity all over the world to raise a glass, drink a wee dram and to slay a haggis in his memory. Of course there is always St Valentine’s Day to look forward to on 14th February!
Happy New Year
Carole, Sally and Colin
