The 2026 Fifa World Cup is well under way now. The last of the group stages being played on 28th June. This years World Cup is the biggest ever with 48 teams competing in 104 fixtures across 3 countries. Mexico, Canada and USA. For us the games are all being played in the evening or into the early hours of the morning. Have you stayed up to watch any? The final will be played on Sunday 19th July at 8pm. Will we see either of our home teams in the final? Is it coming home this year?

Along with the World Cup we have Wimbledon starting on 29th June with the final being held on Sunday 12th July. The British Grand Prix is again at Silverstone on Sunday 5h July. Closer to home we have the Kent County Show at The Kent Showground, Detling, Maidstone ME14 3JF on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July. Beams have their annual Messy Dash on Sunday 5th July at Dartford Central Park, Dartford, DA1 1JP, a fun, family event that helps raise funds for this worthy charity. The Gerbils Golf Society Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday 11th July at Poult Wood Golf Centre, Tonbridge, TN11 9QR in aid of Breast Cancer UK, Prostate Cancer UK and Beams and not forgetting The Babes Ball in aid of Breast Cancer Now on Wednesday 1st July, at Hartley Country Club.
