Father’s Day 2026 is on Sunday June 21st, in the UK, USA and Canada and many other countries, celebrat-ed on the third Sunday of June. It is a celebration honouring fathers and father figures and celebrating father-hood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. This is an opportunity to celebrate all Dad’s with a cards, gifts and family meals. Dad’s are usually happiest with their loved ones around them, a nice lunch or dinner and a nice cool beer or wine. They don’t ask for much really!

With Summer just around the corner, there are lots of Summer fairs/fayres, fetes and village days hap-pening within our communities. Check out just some of the local events. Here are some dates for your diary: Farningham Parish Council will hold their annual Village Fete on Saturday 13th June, from 12 - 3pm at the Market Meadow. The Parish of Fawkham and Hartley are holding their annual Church Summer Fayre on Saturday 20th June, from 12 - 4pm at St Mary’s Church Meadow, Fawkham Road. St Edmunds Church Summer Fair on Saturday 20th June, from 12 - 3pm at The Gamecock Meadows, West Kingsdown. New Ash Green Village Day on Saturday 27th June, from 12 - 5pm at The Pavilion, New Ash Green, and don’t forget The Babes Ball on Wednesday 1st July, at Hartley Country Club.
