Village Advertiser November 2025
DEAR READERS AND ADVERTISERS

Welcome to the award winning The Village Advertiser!
‘Remember, remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot’ so the old rhyme goes. Do children get taught these old sayings these days? The lure of a foggy bonfire night with wonderful fireworks is irresistible. Childhood memories are filled with the joy of holding a sparkler, or watching a rocket soar into the night sky and holding your breath until the explosion and cascade of stars with elicit oohs and aahs from everyone, or of the rocket that misfires and ends up in the greenhouse.

Bonfire societies and other organisations put on great displays on or around the 5th and there are several to look out for in our circulation area starting with Wrotham on Saturday 25th October at the Cricket Ground, Saturday 1st November Dartford Lions Club are hosting their annual firework display at Central Park.
