The Village Advertiser was first published over 33 years ago. The October 2025 edition marks the 400th edition. We took the publishing over 14 years ago. Our very first edition was April 2011. When we took over there was 4 editions each month all broken down into areas. The areas were New Ash Green, Hartley, Longfield and New Barn, West Kingsdown and Swanley, Hextable and Crockenhill. We decided to consolidate all 4 and publish just the one edition, so reducing the cost for the advertisers who advertised in more than one area. It was also published in one colour each month. We decided to try a colour version for the Queens Jubilee in June 2012 and we have never looked back. Since we took over we have quadrupled it in content and we now publish 22,000 each month. The majority are hand delivered by local people and the rest are placed in supermarket stands and pick up points. We support local events, charities and supply information regarding what is going on in your area. We are pleased to announce that we are now an award winning publication. We have been awarded the certificate of excellence for advertising publication in the London and South East England Prestige Awards for 2025/26. Our award was received on 27th August.
