Dear Readers and Advertisers

September is back to school month, with new uniforms and new shoes fresh and ready for the coming autumn term, with a pile of books (or e notes) and hopefully bright looks after a very hot summer holiday. This will apply to hundreds of our children as they return to new classrooms with new teachers in many cases new ideas and a great ambition to do well. It is said that your schooldays are the best of your life. In many cases that is true and of course these things are only realised when looking back nostalgically. Parents will also be getting back to normality, whatever that is, whether it is working from home post Covid or commuting.

2022 will certainly go down as the one of the hottest summers on record, and hopefully you have managed to get a chance to enjoy some of the weather, and you were able to get to your chosen destination during the summer holidays, what with the rail strikes and flight cancellations it has not been an easy task. Now with hose-pipe bans in place (for how long who knows) our gardens are still going to suffer. Who would have thought that we would have all been praying for some rain at least.

Remember to enter our September Wordsearch competition. The prize this month courtesy of RACHEL of LUXE FACES based in BEXLEY is a £50 GIFT VOUCHER to spend on a treatment of your choice. Entry deadline is 14th September. The winner of the CHOPPING BOARD AND CHEESE BOARD valued at £100 courtesy of WRIGHTSTONE, specialists in Granite, Quartz and Marble worktops based in MEOPHAM, was NEILL WALTERS of VIGO VILLAGE, the missing word being GARDENING.
