Dear Readers and Advertisers
Another lockdown release deadline approaches on the 17th of this month. More freedom and restrictions eased. This means one our second May bank holiday on the 31st will be less bound up by Covid rules than the first one on the 3rd. Life gets confusing doesn’t it? However, it is no good complaining but it is essential that the guidelines set out by the Government are abided by. It would be silly to have come all this way, through the drudgery of lockdowns and the pain and horror of this pandemic, to then throw the gains away by irresponsible collective or individual actions. Keep your chin up folks. Be patient. Stay local. Shop local. Support our advertisers and, who knows, towards the end of June our upside-down world will have righted itself and some kind of normality can return.
Remember to enter our May Wordsearch competition. The prize this month is a £50 GIFT VOUCHER to spend at BLUEWATER courtesy of THE VILLAGE ADVERTISER. Entry deadline is 14th May 2021. The winner of the A CHOPPING BOARD AND CHEESE BOARD valued at £100 courtesy of WRIGHTSTONE, specialists in Granite, Quartz and Marble worktops based in MEOPHAM in the April competition was CAPRICE KESBY of BEAN, the missing word being CRACKING.
Advertising sales deadline for June is May 10th, 2021. Call our sales office on 01474 707484 and 01322 911875 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
